Hello, my name is John Broom. I live in Holbeach Clough on my half acre smallholding .I have a mixed flock of chicken's and duck's, and raise 2-3 pig's  each year. I will soon have a bee  hive sited in the garden, for which I hope the honey will be good enough to enter in the produce show. I will be taking part in a two motorcycle rally's this year, and by doing so will be raising money for The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and Mencap. I take part in these event's at my own expense. If you could help me raise more fund's for these very good cause's, please read on.

The first rally to take's place over the weekend of 20/21 June, and is the RBLR 1000 (Saddle sore 1000). this is an endurance event of travelling 1000 mile's in 24 hrs, without breaking the speed limit's.or getting a ticket! The start and finish point is from the Squire's Bar Cafe, Sherburn in Elmnet.

I have chosen to take the route north on the A1 to Berwick, then follow to Edinburgh, onto the A82 and follow that to Inverness and north to Wick. At Wick, I'll return south, to Inverness, then onto the A9 past Fort William and to Glasgow onto the M74. Following the M74 to the M6, then south on the M62, to the A1 for the last leg north to the cafe and breakfast!

You can see full detail's of the event by logging on to: www.rblr.co.uk , and click the RBLR 1000.

Would all member's of the FGSC like to help me raise money for the Poppy Appeal, and support our service men and women, past and present, you can make a donation by visiting: www.justgiving.com/johnbroom

The second rally take's place on the weekend of 04/05 July and The Interphone National Rally. This is a road run of 540 mile's in a max. of 20hrs, and finishes at Bletchley Park, Milton Keyne's.

This rally raise's fund's for Mencap. last year I raised £140. Full detail's of the rally, log onto:www.nationalroadrally.co.uk.

If you would like to donate to Mencap, visit: www.justgiving.com/johnbroom1  and make your donation on line.

If there are any motorcyclist's out there that would like to join me on either rally, log onto the web site's, and join up. It's all for a good cause.

 Thank you

John
